We invite you into the gothic world of forsaken love, fantasy, mystery and death with the illustrations of Harry Clarke. Taking inspiration from the Art Nouveau movement of the early 20th century we will focus on the techniques of Harry Clarke’s work. You will also focus on similar artists of the era, draw inspiration from gothic literature and experiment with different mediums to create your artwork.
Tutor
Julie Forrester graduated from the Slade School of Art with a BA (hons) degree in Fine Art Sculpture. Julie has been involved with numerous collaborative art projects. She has worked creatively with community projects for more then 16 years. Julie has run a number of workshops in the Crawford for the past 8 years working intuitively with different materials and processes from sculpture to animation and illustration.
sessions cost 50 Euro for 10 weeks
(Payment should be made in advance – booking will only be confirmed upon receipt of the full workshop fee). Number of places is limited – registration will be on a first come first served basis.
