Supporting the Crawford Gallery is easy!
DONATIONS AND BEQUESTS
The Crawford accepts donations and bequests of works of art, especially those relevant to the collection. Not all works may be suitable. As a guide, refer to the Gallery collection on the website. Works by Irish artists from the 17th century to the 19th century are of particular interest. Please contact the Gallery beforehand and send an image and description of a work of art, and we will confirm if the work is suitable to form part of the Crawford collection.
Recent Donations include Still Life with Flowers by Patrick Hennessy, a work donated by Michael O'Connell in 2013 , in memory of his mother Madeline O'Connell, a longtime supporter and Friend of the Gallery.
Other donations from individuals and families include the Cooper Penrose Collection, donated by John and Helena Mooney, and the famous View of Cork by John Butts, donated by the McCarthy family.
Tax Relief, under Section 1003 of the Finance Act, is available to donors of important works of art. Please contact the Gallery for details.
Gifts of funds that can be put towards specific projects are also welcome. These projects include conservation of works of art, exhibitions and publications. Gifts can either be acknowledged or can be anonymous.
The Gallery also welcomes proposals for sponsorship of conservation, exhibitions and publications, where a sponsoring individual or company is given publicity and benefits in exchange for a donation of funds towards the costs of the project.
